HVAC is an acronym for “heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.”

The average life expectancy of your HVAC system depends on many factors. How often you run your system, the system’s age, its make and model, and whether or not it was serviced regularly over the course of its life can all play a significant role in how long your system will last you. You can expect your  furnace and/or air conditioner to last approximately 15 years. A heat pump can last 12 years.

At KCK HVAC, we are a Trane® Factory Authorized Dealer and specialize in Trane HVAC systems. We repair and service all major heating and air conditioning equipment.

heat pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling system. Instead of two separate systems, like a furnace and an air conditioner, a heat pump can cool your home during the summer and heat your home during the winter.

Yes! No matter what type of HVAC system you may have – heat pump, furnace, air conditioner, ductless systems, etc. – you should always schedule HVAC maintenance twice a year.

    1. Spring – Cooling system tune-up
    2. Fall – Heating system tune-up

Yes, we offer an HVAC maintenance plan designed to protect your systems from midseason breakdowns and maximize the efficiency of your equipment.

We recommend changing your air filters every one to three months, depending on how often you use your HVAC system. If you have pets or run your systems frequently, you may want to consider changing your air filters every 30 – 45 days.

No. Your heating and cooling systems should be properly sized by an HVAC professional. If the system is too big for your home’s needs, it could result in a loss of efficiency and higher utility bills!

Repair versus replace is a common question our HVAC technicians receive, and is almost impossible to answer without a technician taking an in-depth look at your system. The heating and cooling experts at KCK HVAC can help diagnose your heating or cooling system and recommend the necessary next steps – repair or replacement.

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have!
